Other stories this afternoon: The Texas education commissioner is praising the state Supreme Court for declaring that the Texas school finance system is constitutional. Mike Morath is a former Dallas school board member – while on the board, he voted to authorize the Dallas district to sue the state over education funding. Since the lawsuit was filed, Morath says the Texas Legislature has adequately addressed district concerns.
